Conejo Canyons Easy Hike – Hawk Canyon Loop

This is an easy 2.1-mile hike going through scenic Hawk Canyon with about 350′ of total climbing.

Park in the dirt lot on Conejo Center Drive next to the Municipal Service Center and start down the Western Plateau Edison Road. At the bottom of the hill, turn right onto the Hawk Canyon Trail and follow it to Hill Canyon Trail, staying on the southeast side of the stream. Turn right onto Hill Canyon Trail and very shortly turn right again onto a trail locally known as “Baxter Trail.” The trail ends at Hill Canyon Fire Road where you should continue uphill until you reach Rancho Conejo Drive. From there, it’s a 0.4-mile walk on the street back to the start.

Exit the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks at Rancho Conejo Blvd and follow it north for 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Conejo Center Drive and after 0.2 miles you will find the dirt parking area on the right.
