Arbor/Earth Day

Join us on April 13th for the annual celebration of Arbor/Earth Day at Conejo Creek Park North (behind the TO Library). Here, nature lovers can spend time becoming acquainted with local organizations that protect and enhance the environment. Featuring live entertainment, animal shows, children's activities, the PAUSE4Kids art-a-thon, food vendors, compost workshops, free plants, and much more. With over 100 vendors, there will be plenty of activities for the whole family. For more information click here.

California Native Plants Sale

Use less water by planting California native plants in your home garden. Join the California Native Plant Society on Saturday, April 20th, from 10am - 3pm. Choose from a great selection of native plants or watch free presentations by local landscape designers starting at 11am. Featuring Lisa Burton, going over "The Lawn Replacement Garden", and Trisha Munro-Burgess, on how to incorporate native plants into an existing ornamental landscape.

The sale will be held in the Calleguas Municipal Water District parking lot, located at 2100 E. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks.

Conejo Open Space Challenge
Interested in fun photography and hiking/riding in our local open spaces? Well this is for you! Through May 1, 2013, you can compete for a chance to win great prizes from local businesses. All you have to do is take artistic photos on ten specified trails and submit them! Click here for more information on how to participate.

Volunteer Opportunities

Non Native Plant Removal

If you are interested in reducing the spread of non-native plants in our local open space, join our fennel fighting team and help us locate and remove this invasive plant. The native plants and animals will be very appreciative!

Must be 18+ years of age to participate. No experience necessary. Tools and instructions will be provided.

COSCA Volunteer Corps

The Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency has many opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to volunteer in the open space. We are always seeking volunteers and the opportunities for you to help come in all shapes and sizes.
