Conejo Canyons Strenuous Hike – Figure 8 Loop from Hill Canyon

This strenuous hike covers 8.6 miles and has an estimated 1200′ of climbing. It climbs out of and back into Hill/Hawk Canyons twice in a figure 8 pattern that, except for Hill Canyon Fire Road, doesn’t repeat any trail segments.

Start at the parking area in Hill Canyon and follow the blue arrows on the map below in the indicated order to find your way.

From Moorpark Road in the Santa Rosa Valley, drive west on Santa Rosa Road for 3.7 miles, turn left (south) on Hill Canyon Road for about 0.6 miles to the parking lot on the right.

From the 101 Freeway in Camarillo, take exit 52 onto Santa Rosa Road and drive northeast. After 5 miles, turn right onto Hill Canyon Rd. Continue to the parking on the left, 0.6 miles on.
