Sustainability in the Conejo Valley – “Talkin’ Trash: How to Do Your Garbage Right”
On Wednesday, March 29, at 7:00 p.m., a panel of three local experts will discuss how residents can help reduce the amount of household waste that ends up in our landfills. Included will be discussions about state and local programs for reducing waste, recycling and the proper disposal of hazardous chemicals and items. After the presentations, there will be a Q & A session for attendees to ask about specific issues that hadn’t already been covered.

- City of Thousand Oaks Sustainability Dept. assistant analyst Philip Hirrel
Held virtually via Zoom, the first of our Speaker Series events for 2023, “Talkin’ Trash: How to Do Your Garbage Right” addresses our theme for this year, Sustainability. Hear some tips on the Three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Held quarterly since 2019, the COSF Speaker Series has included climate authority Dr. Sean Anderson as well as wildlife experts Dr. Dan Cooper, Dr. Seth Riley, Dr. Jessica Sanchez, and the National Wildlife Federation’s regional executive director Beth Pratt.
