Two students from Westlake High School win COSF 2026 Eco Scholarships

Two local seniors, Anna Bronk and Tyler Limcaco, both from Westlake High School, are the recipients of the sixth annual Conejo Open Space Foundation scholarships. The $1,500 scholarships support students pursuing environmental-studies-related majors at two- or four-year colleges or universities. The scholarships, which provide up to $6,000 per student in total, are determined by a six-person panel.
Anna Bronk, who is headed to the University of California, Los Angeles this fall, is a member of the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians and wrote in her winning essay that she wants to “study environmental science while incorporating Indigenous knowledge.” Anna has an impressive roster of volunteer activities, including co-founding Westlake High School’s first Indigenous Peoples’ Club. In response to her selection as a COSF scholar, she wrote, “Thank you so much for the support in furthering my education. I am so grateful for the opportunity to represent Conejo Valley in my future endeavors.”
Tyler Limcaco is headed to the University of California, Davis, where he will pursue studies to become a wildlife veterinarian. Tyler explained his career direction in his winning essay: “I want to be on the frontlines of conservation, tracking [wildlife] population health and ensuring that ecosystems remain stable enough to support the species that live there.” Tyler’s volunteer efforts have included working at Agoura Hills’ Animal Care Center, doing trail work with COSCA and the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council, and helping maintain Westlake High School’s native-pollinator garden. To all the donors who make the COSF Eco Scholarships possible, Tyler wrote, “Thank you so much for this incredible honor, I am truly grateful!”
Past scholarship recipients are Kaelin Carraway, Daniel Conway, Avery Henson, Naomi Lin, Alessandra Lucchesi, Molly McNulty, Simone Scheuble-Isip and Alexandria Paris Williams.
