70 volunteers turned out for the Annual Fall Trail Work Day on October 19
COSCA’s Fall Trail Work Day at Westlake Community Park brought in 70 volunteers of all ages to improve the Wishbone Trail on Saturday, October 19. After the trails were cleaned up, COSF provided a delicious lunch for all and sponsored a fun raffle with $800 worth of gifts for those who gave their time to the trails.
Special thanks are due to the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council, which provided experienced crew leaders to work with each of the 7 teams of volunteers.
Many of the volunteers have become regular attendees at the monthly work days that COSCA launched earlier this year. Those who participate in at least three work days are eligible for a Team Conejo work shirt (see photo gallery). In order to earn your free shirt, please go to COSF’s website to log your attendance. If you would like to be notified when new trail work is coming up, please add your name to the trail worker email list.
Thank you to all who helped out this time! The trail is in great shape and the COSCA rangers were impressed with the amount of work completed.
