Conejo Valley Trails to partially reopen on weekdays

Published by Steve Clark on

Beginning on Wednesday April 22, Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) trails in Thousand Oaks will be open weekdays from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm. They will remain closed on the weekends from 5:00 pm Friday until 6:00 am Monday morning. Full details can be seen on COSCA’s press release.

Trailhead parking lots will remain closed and trail users are requested to walk or ride to their nearby trails. People are required to maintain social distancing, staying at least 6-feet apart at all times. The county health department recommends that people not gather in groups larger than five people.

From the COSCA press release: “The phased opening should be considered a trial opening, as COSCA is prepared to re-close the open space if safety protocols are not observed or if health orders are changed. Trails will be monitored for physical distancing, and a failure of trail users to take appropriate actions may result in a new closure.”

Again, please read the COSCA press release.
