COSF seeks students for 2025 eco scholarships: Deadline is February 15 (12/8/2024) - Do you know a high-school senior who wants to pursue an environmental studies-related major at a two- or four-year college or university? COSF is looking to award two Conejo Valley or Greater Ventura County college-bound students $1,000 in continuing scholarships, so let them know!  Each scholarship recipient will receive up to $4,000 in support from COSF. 70 volunteers turned out for the Annual Fall Trail Work Day on October 19 (10/22/2024) - COSCA's Fall Trail Work Day at Westlake Community Park brought in 70 volunteers of all ages to improve the Wishbone Trail on Saturday, October 19. After the trails were cleaned up, COSF provided a delicious lunch for all and sponsored a fun raffle with $800 worth of gifts for those who gave their time to the trails. The September Trail Work Day – Photos of the three projects (10/2/2024) - The September 28 trail work day took place at the Rancho Potrero Open Space, just south of Dos Vientos, and coincided with National Public Lands Day. Participants were given a one-day pass to federal lands, valid for a whole year! The Arroyo Conejo Creek cleanup – volunteers removed truckloads of trash! (9/23/2024) - The first all-volunteer Arroyo Conejo Creek cleanup, on September 21, resulted in over 20 volunteers removing 2 to 3 tons of trash from the creek; that works out to an average of over 200 lbs. per person!
