The November 20th Where in the Conejo Contest photo was of the Rocky Incline Trail

Congratulations to Tamara Napier of Newbury Park who provided the correct answer and was selected as the winner. Thanks to all who entered the contest!

The Rocky Incline Trail, sometimes known as the Rocky Singletrack, drops 240 feet from the Alapay Trail to the Meadow Vista Trail over 0.56 miles. This is in the Lang Ranch / Woodridge Open Space areas. It is fairly steep in sections, and is rarely (if ever) maintained, so it also has some rutted and loose spots. These features  make it a favorite for mountain bikers who like a little challenge!

In the photo, the trail in the far distance is Albertson Motorway, and the middle trail is Meadow Vista.

There have been some changes to Rocky Incline as a result of the Woolsey Fire in November 2018. A cluster of small oak trees in the drainage near the bottom is  no more. Also, the COSCA rangers have built a spur trail that connects Rocky Incline to the Long Ridge Trail, a trail that bypasses private property that Albertson Motorway passes through.
