COSCA begins new volunteer program for monthly trail work

take on smaller projects with crews of 20 or so volunteers focused on trail building and maintenance. The expanded commitment to volunteer programs is made possible by the addition of four new rangers over the past year and a half.

“With 170 miles of trails to maintain, COSCA has a big job. Activating a community of active trail users to assist expands our capacity to provide safe outdoor experiences for residents and visitors,” says COSCA Administrator Brian Stark.  

“COSCA rangers are looking forward to working more closely with community volunteers and increasing the pace of trail repairs and maintenance activity,” adds Kory Prindle, COSCA supervising park ranger.

Those interested in volunteering can register for volunteer events through the Conejo Recreation and Park District website. This link will display all the currently scheduled workdays. Those interested in receiving alerts for upcoming trail work events are encouraged to sign up as a volunteer with COSF.
