Watch the video of an Amgen volunteer team haul one ton of trash out of the Arroyo Conejo

On May 2, an enthusiastic team of 15 Amgen staffers joined COSCA Rangers Joe and Kari and COSF President Bill Miller and board member Anne Russell for a morning clean-up at the Arroyo Conejo. The video of the work can be seen below.
The Amgen group removed about one ton of garbage that included cans and bottles, bicycle parts, gardening waste and unwanted clothing and shoes. This work builds on previous volunteer and contractor efforts to get trash out of the Arroyo.
In September 2024, an all-volunteer group pulled out an estimated 2 to 3 tons in conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup Day. But the biggest haul by far was the 13.4 tons removed in August 2024 by a specialty contractor funded in part by $10,000 contributed by COSF.
The COSCA Rangers are looking forward to working with additional volunteer groups in the future on the ongoing Arroyo Conejo Trash Removal Project.
