COSF contributed $10,000 toward the Arroyo Conejo Trash Removal Project, which was completed in August. The final stats on the volume of trash collected are impressive—a whopping 13.4 tons (i.e., 26,800 pounds) of waste was removed by a specialty contractor. This past Saturday, June 15, about 15 volunteered help cut back the weeds on the side of the trail that were severely narrowing it. Mostly the blame lay with invasive mustard, but there was also star thistle, Italian thistle and an assortment of other invasive or native species to clear. Read more…
