Our new “Four Seasons” quarterly photo contest starts now! Spring photo: Spider web with dew.

Published by Steve Clark on

Starting in 2024,  we are challenging you with the “Four Seasons” contest! We want to find out how good you are at locating specific kinds of sights in our Open Space. Each season, we’ll post the name of something that you can find in the Conejo Open Space, such as the spider web in the photo below. And that’s the object that must be included in the photo for spring: a spider web with dew!

We’ll give you a challenge like this at the start of each season.

Here are the rules:

  • Every season, we’ll identify a specific item (e.g., “an oak tree”) for you to find within the Conejo Open Space. As long as the object is within COSCA property, it qualifies. Here is a map of the Conejo Open Space trails.
  • After you’ve located an object that matches the challenge description, take a photo of it.
  • Then email us your entry to news@cosf.org and tell us where in the Conejo Open Space you took it. If you like, post the photo to your Facebook or Instagram tagging COSF (@ConejoOpenSpaceFoundation). We may post your entry to our social media accounts, our website and email.
  • The contest is open to anyone 18 years of age or older.
  • Multiple entries for each person will be accepted.
  • Of the people who successfully complete the challenge, a winner will be drawn at random at the end of that contest. We’re also offering a new prize: An earth-friendly COSF t-shirt! And this year, you can win multiple times.

To be notified by email of each new challenge, please sign up here.

Happy trails to you. We look forward to seeing what you find.
