Congratulations to Mark Burley of Santa Rosa Valley who provided the correct answer and was selected as the winner. Thanks to all who responded!

The Lower Santa Rosa Trail runs along the northern base of Mount Clef Ridge in the Santa Rosa Valley. It is shown on the Wildwood Park trail map. The trail is also known as the Baseline Trail, particularly among people who live in the Santa Rosa Valley.

Until late 2010, the only way to get to the Lower Santa Rosa Trail was from the Santa Rosa Valley through a gated community. During the 2010 Fall Trail Work Day, a connector trail was built to the (upper) Santa Rosa Trail that runs roughly parallel to the lower trail, but much higher up the ridge. The connector trail was later named the Shooting Start Trail after the flowers that appear there in the spring.
